Hi there - Kendra here! đź‘‹

Hope you had a great Halloween, All Saints Day, or whatever you celebrate this season (if you do!). Holidays can bring joy but may also lead to sensory overload and burnout. If this week left you overstimulated, know it’s okay if keeping up with your to-do list is a struggle. I personally ended up in bed with a migraine—my nervous system had reached its sensory limit. Luckily, thanks to my new(ish) diagnosis, this time, I knew how to recover and noted adjustments I could make to avoid crashing next time.

On the topic of overwhelm, we recently sent out a survey. 90% of you shared that you want support to prevent and manage sensory overload and burnout. Ninety percent!

Don’t worry, we’ve got you! We’re bringing in experts like:

  • Isabeau Korylak of Neurofriendly for workshops on “Sensory Mapping” to help you better understand your sensory needs.

  • Maggie Staub, M.Ed., ADHD-CE, Executive Functioning Expert, will provide strategies to prevent being overwhelmed before it starts.

  • And more! If there’s someone you’d love to learn from, reply to this email and let us know.

Another popular request was for real stories from fellow neurodivergent women. We’ve been setting up interviews and collecting submissions. I’d love for you to share your story, too! If interested, submit using the form below.

Other things you said you need…

You also told us you wanted support at work, at home, with haywire hormones, and discovering therapies and treatments to help manage symptoms. Rest assured, we heard you! We’re busy writing articles, contacting experts, and so much more!

In the meantime, feel free to browse our Bookshop shelf (I know, I know… Amazon is easier, but justice sensitivity won’t let us do it when there are so many wonderful independent bookshops to support). We’ve curated our favorite books on neurodivergence, health, and healing and will continue adding recs as we discover more.
